IPhone OS SDK 3.2 Beta 4: iPad Tools and Fixes
Posted by 1info in Product Review on March 10th, 2010
The release of the iPad is just around the corner – so why has Apple launched the new IPhone OS SDK 3.2 Beta 4? We know that the new Software Development Kit comes with a host of new tools and fixes; maybe it was this that delayed the launch of the tablet device.
We only have three days before you can pre-order the iPad, so Apple are cutting things a bit fine. Not much is known about what has changed with IPhone OS SDK 3.2 Beta 4 – we will offer more information once we get it.
Looking back at past SDK updates we can be certain that there will be some new goodies – but it is iPhone OS 4.0 that we are all waiting on. According to Examiner, they expect to see the new operating system as early as June at Apple’s WWDC.
If you are a developer and you have information about what updates IPhone OS SDK 3.2 Beta 4 has – please let us know.

Will you use iPhone 4G’s video calling?
Posted by 1info in Product Review on March 10th, 2010
Yesterday we had conformation from O2 that the new iPhone 4G will offer video calling support, which O2 said that they will charge the same price as they do for voice calls. However, the carrier has since announced that this was just an error.
The graphic that showed the prices of O2 tariffs – including the video calling – was nothing more than a mistake. The UK cell phone carrier has said that they will amend the website that featured the pricing. Do not worry too much as we could still see this feature with the iPhone 4G – Apple may have just told O2 to keep us guessing.
So one day we know for certain that video calling is coming, the next it is taken away. We have to wonder if the feature is actually wanted – maybe there is a more practical feature that you would like to see. I would like to see true multitasking and a zoom and flash feature on the camera – how about you?

Pringles Recall: Complete List of Products Affected
Posted by 1info in Product Review on March 10th, 2010
Following on from the recent recalls of processed food products that contain hydrolyzed vegetable protein (HVP) – a common flavor enhancer – Pringles is the latest recall. The reason behind this is because of a possible salmonella contamination.
The Christian Science Monitor reports that there are two flavors of Pringles affected by this latest recall – Restaurant Cravers Cheeseburger and Family Faves Taco Night. There are now 26 brands included in the recall – that number continues to grow almost every day.
Most of the products being recalled because of this possible salmonella contamination is processed foods, these include chips, hot dogs, soups, popcorn and many more. If these foods had to be cooked for some time this would help to kill of salmonella – hot dogs and soups only need reheating so will not be able to kill the harmful bacteria.
For a complete list of all foods affected visit the FDA website.
